An income certificate, issued by the Mamlatdar through Digital Gujarat, is the official statement of a family's income. It is the gate to a long list of benefits — RTE 25% free school admissions, college and school fee concessions, most scholarships, reserved-category benefits, and many state welfare schemes.
When it is delayed or filled wrong, an RTE or scholarship deadline is missed or an admission concession is lost, and those do not come back.
